Abstract
Platinum analogs includes cisplatin, oxaliplatin and carboplatin. Cisplatin is a chemotherapeutic drugwith excellent success in the management of human malignancies. Molecular mechanism of actionrelated to its capacity to crosslink of DNA purine bases; also, by interfere with DNA repair, leading toDNA break, and consequently lead to apoptosis in cancer cells. Cisplatin also found to haveimmunomodulatory properties besides its cytotoxic effect.
